OUR HISTORY

Wildwood Calvary Chapel began as a home fellowship in Wildwood Canyon. It was Pastor Chris's heart to just teach through the Bible verse by verse, to be committed to what the Lord had for the early church. Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. That intimate home gathering began to grow and branched out into two separate home fellowships adding a Jr. High and High School Bible study with Pastor Jeremy. Through much prayer, and after several months of meeting in homes, the Lord impressed upon Pastor Chris's heart to begin Sunday services.

In April 1998, Wildwood Calvary Chapel had its first Sunday service at Wildwood Canyon Park. The Lord would then open doors for the church to meet in school gymnasiums, cafeterias, community centers, homes and even at the parks in Yucaipa and Calimesa. The Lord spoke very clearly to Pastor Chris that if he would feed the sheep then He would take care of the place for them to meet.

Currently Wildwood is meeting in our new building located on Oak Glen Road in Yucaipa near the corner of Bryant. We also have a midweek service offered Wednesday evenings.

In 2006 the Lord opened up the doors for Wildwood to purchase 16 acres of land on the corner of Oak Glen and Bryant in the heart of Yucaipa. Since then, 3.5 acres of the land was sold, and the LORD paid off the land debt completely. A master plan has been put together for the existing 12.5 acres with the hopes that it will be an equipping center with a place for worship and a Christian school. Currently phase two is currently being prayed through which will consist of our preschool and administrative offices.

You are invited to come and be a part of what God is doing at Wildwood Calvary Chapel as we see transformed lives transforming the world.
