As long as I can remember, the precepts of God's Word have been taught to me as an example for godly living. I grew up in a home where my mother had the discipline to read God's Word to me each morning before I went to school. I was also blessed to attend Christian school throughout my elementary years. I tell you this because I was able to experience the benefits of godly principles taught to a family. I view what my mother did for our family as one of the most important ministries in the world today. The role of a godly woman will have lasting effects on generations to come. As a woman living in a world that is vying for ones time and attention, God gives us real solutions for true hope and peace in the midst of this chaos. And this solution is our responsibility to share with those around us. In realizing this valuable fact, God has fired a passion and purpose for me to minister this truth to the Women of Wildwood.
Salvation for me came at the young age of 7. I soon realized the significance of putting action behind my faith. Each ministry that the Lord has called me to through the past 30 years has not been without challenge. However, He has been faithful to be by my side and tutor my every step. I have been extremely privileged to be married to a pastor for the past eighteen years and be a mother for 14 years. This of course is my first and foremost ministry. For the past 5 years God has entrusted me with ministry to the Women of Wildwood. It has proved to me that even though my abilities may be lacking, He is all sufficient to get any job done (exceedingly and abundantly better than I could ever hope for!)
One of my favorite verses is James 1:22, "But be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving one's self." This is also the verse we have adopted as our theme verse for the Women of Wildwood Ministry. To me this verse means to take what you have been taught in the Word and apply it by faith, we are not to be fooled into thinking we have the right to do things our own way. As long as I have been faithful to walk in this, believing this as truth, the Lord has been faithful to bless what I put my hand to. This is my desire for the Women of Wildwood as well, that they may be fruitful in all of their endeavors for His kingdom!
